2nd Vikos crossing - On the mountains because of the Memorandum – 12th June 2011

A few days before the importand voting in the Greek Parliament on the Memorandum and the Medium Term Program on the Greek Economy, on Sunday the 12th of June 2011, during the weekend of the Pentecost, we met at Land beyond.

After the vivid conversation every 22 participants managed to cross Vikos gorge successfully under the leading figure of Panayotis – Loukas Gennimatas, ex Vice President of the European Investment Bank, who inspired the team by singing an aria at dawn rise. A happy family from Korea also joined us!

We visited the Info Point of the Natural Park of Northern Pindos, the traditional bridge of Kokkoros, we had lunch and coffee at Sterna, Kapesovo, we enjoyed the breath taking view for Mpeloi, at Vradetto, the highest village in Zagori (1.342m high). We tasted traditional Zagori pies and mushrooms of the region.

Everybody was awarded his/her diploma of successful Vikos crossing.
